COVID-19 POLICY (ACTIVE 18 MAY 2022)


Context
Djilpin Arts is a not-for-profit Aboriginal Corporation based in the remote Northern Territory Community of Beswick. Djilpin Arts operates a Culture Centre including museum, retail gallery, visitor accommodation & amenities, outdoor spaces and events.

We recognise that COVID-19 poses a high degree of risk to remote Indigenous communities that experience significant pre-existing health vulnerabilities.

Beswick is one of these communities. We prioritise the health and well-being of our community members, artists and workers.

Our Covid Safe Policy
If you are unwell, or if you believe you may have been in contact with someone who has Covid-19, please DO NOT visit our Centre. We ask that visitors take a Rapid Antigen Test on the day of your visit.

Site Specific Actions

  • Visitors must use hand sanitiser supplied at sanitisation stations

  • Visitors must observe signage in place around the visitor areas

  • Visitors must carry face masks and are asked to them in indoor or enclosed areas

  • All transactions are contactless, cash will not be accepted

  • No sharing of cutlery and cups. Disposable cups will be provided.

  • Any visitor showing signs of being unwell is to isolate immediately, wear a face mask
    and telephone the Beswick Sunrise Health Clinic on 08-8975 4527 for instruction

    (Evacuation will be based on clinic advice and visitors will have to isolate at the clinic until a negative Covid-19 test result is returned.
