Shop FAQs

  • What is the provenance of my purchase?

All works purchased through Djilpin Arts are authentically Aboriginal designed and owned, created by members of the Beswick & Katherine communities and surrounding nations from across Arnhem Land.

All purchases come with formal documentation about the artist you are supporting.

  • How does artist payment work?

Choosing to buy authentic works directly from community enterprises like Djilpin Arts is a great way to support remote indigenous artists and their families.
For unique artworks and fibre work, artists are paid upfront, with the remainder being reinvested into Djilpin Arts programs. For textiles and prints, artists have been paid to create the original artworks and are then paid a fee per product sold.

  • What payment methods do you offer?

All prices are quoted in Australian Dollars (AUD)

We take payments using credit/debit cards or via the Paypal portal. You do not need an account to pay, just a valid credit or debit card.

  • What type of postage do you offer?

We know you want your product to arrive as quickly as possible so we offer express service Australia wide.

If you buy more than one product, we only charge you for shipping on the most expensive item, the rest will be sent free.

  • How long will it take to receive my item?

Our products are coming to you from the remote community of Beswick, or Katherine, both in the Northern Territory. We will get your product in the post within two business days but the post from the Territory can often take longer so please be patient. Most of our products will be sent by Express Post and we will email you the tracking number. Please check your delivery address carefully before purchasing, Djilpin Arts will not be liable for missing items as a result of this.

  • Can I receive a refund or exchange?

As Djilpin Arts is a community organisation and charity, all purchases are considered final and non-refundable.
However, we do offer exchanges for items that arrive damaged or defective. In the instance of one-of-a-kind artwork that cannot be replaced, a refund may be negotiated.
