Ghunmarn Culture Centre Beswick and Shed 5 Katherine feature retail galleries, where you can browse and purchase local art including traditional pandanus weaving, fine prints, hand-cut didjeridus, carvings, jewellery and our contemporary textiles range.
Choosing to buy authentic works direct from community enterprises like Djilpin Arts is a great way to support remote indigenous artists and their families.
THE BLANASI COLLECTION
At Bewsick, you can visit the treasured Blanasi Collection, a permanent showcase of culturally significant artworks in the West Arnhem painting style, curated by late Elder and didjeridu master, David Blanasi. There is no admission fee to the Museum and you can take an interactive iPad tour to learn about the artists and their work. Local guides are available to take you through this stunning community-owned Collection.
