Description: Djilpin Arts’ collection of Gapu limited edition prints commenced in 2007 with Basil Hall Editions. Gapu – or water, and the food sources that surround the remote waterways are the inspiration behind much of the work. The long term collaboration between Djilpin Arts and Basil Hall Editions encourages new and emerging artists as well as established artists to experiment with a variety of print making techniques. Etchings and Silk Screens make up Series I to IV, and VI to VII, and Series V includes Japanese Woodblock printing on Iwaki paper.

Artist Bio: Anderson is a Director of Djilpin Arts. He is the son of the late artist Angelina George and carries on the family tradition of making contemporary art with designs for textiles and print. Anderson supports and works with the Djilpin Arts by encouraging local community artists, and is committed to the legacy of his late brother Balang Lewis.
