This year was the 10th Anniversary of Walking With Spirits on 30 July 2011. The Beswick community were joined by extended families from distant communities to share in the celebratory corroborree. The event was enjoyed by an enthusiastic audience.

Malkgulumbu (Beswick Falls), is a hidden treasure on the south-west corner of Arnhem Land. It is an ancient playground for Jawoyn people, a sacred site only open to the public once a year for this very special evening where we shared the ancient stories, song, dance and music. The old and wise voices were joined by the laughter of the young as the ancient tradition of Corroboree  blended with contemporary performance styles incorporating music, dance, puppetry animation, film and fire.

Beginning at sunset the celebration continued well into the night with community and visitors joining in traditional dancing, and the young people showing off their musical and performance skills while floating candles drifted on the water and fire flickered on the cliffs.
